Maves Chiropractic Clinic

Maves Chiropractic Clinic was established  in 1954 by Dr. Robert A. Maves.  Beginning as a small practice in a home on Hickory Avenue and later on North Avenue in Waukegan, the clinic outgrew its humble beginnings and in 1978 moved to its 5500 square foot present location on Wadsworth Road in Beach Park.

Through the years, the clinic has established a reputation of high quality chiropractic care and service to patients of all ages which continues to this day.  Maves Clinic became well known and respected while successfully treating members of the 1985 Super Bowl winning Chicago Bears.  

Having served the community for 50 years, Dr. Maves was confident upon his retirement in leaving the practice in the care of his hand-picked, experienced associates, Dr. John Patenaude and Dr. David Picchietti. 

Dr. John T. Patenaude was born and raised in Lake County Illinois and has been a resident of Lake County all his life.  He completed his Bachelor of Science Degree before earning his Doctorate of Chiropractic Degree from Palmer College of Chiropractic in Davenport, Iowa. In addition to extensive training in the Palmer Package multiple chiropractic spinal adjustment techniques, he has taken an interest in extremity adjustments and has completed several training seminars with the focus on correcting wrist, elbow, shoulder, ankle, knee and hip dysfunction through conservative treatment. Dr. Patenaude has been successfully treating patients at Maves Chiropractic Clinic since 1996.

Dr. David P. Picchietti attended Northern Illinois University and completed his Bachelor of Science Degree in Human Biology before graduating Magna Cum Laude with a Doctorate of Chiropractic Degree from National College of Chiropractic in Lombard, Illinois in 1992.  He is certified in Acupuncture therapy.  His post-graduate work includes Certification as a Chiropractic Sports Physician.  Dr. Picchietti  practiced in Milwaukee, Wisconsin before returning to Lake County, where he was born and raised.  He has been successfully treating patients at Maves Chiropractic Clinic since 1996.
